Broadly, Good Living in the Suburbs is creating a better living environment for the people living in MPP.

Good Living in the Suburbs.

. is an initiative conceived and developed by Majlis Perbandaran Padawan;

. targets neighbourhoods in localities across MPP's area of jurisdiction;

. aims for a healthy, clean and green suburbs.

How to promote Good Living in the Suburbs?

To achieve Good Living in the Suburbs, MPP shall;

. . Provide better living environs for our people;

. . Maintain, upgrade and provide new infrastructure;

. . Ensure a clean and healthy environment;

. . Improve suburban streetscapes and landscapes;

. . Enhance revenue from rates in order to render efficient and reliable services;

. . Ensure public funds are prudently spent.

Working in Partnership between MPP and the Public

The key towards achieving Good Living in the Suburbs is-as-always-Joint Co-operation between MPP and the Public. This concept requires working together.

Strategies To Achieve Good Living In The Suburbs.

For a start, some of the strategies include:

. . Bidding for increased funds in 9MP to improve existing infrastructure and provide new infrastructure, amenities and facilities;

. . Increasing the frequency of grass cutting along roads and in housing estates from once a month to twice a month;

. . Promoting recycling '3R', Buyback Centres in targeted areas;

. . Planting Bunya Raya Campaign at housing estates and villages to complement the existing landscape;

. . Promoting the idea of good living in the suburbs among neighbourhood areas. Individuals are encouraged to form groups to undertake landscaping and beautification projects;

. . Developing champions of good living concept.
